That's okay, Shiraishi-san. You played very well. We can play again. Perhaps you will win this time.

[It's fine? He's already gathering up the cards to hand them back to Shiraishi.]

Please keep telling me more about what you do. It sounds interesting. We are from a clan of samurai, but I only know of the Shinsengumi.

[Unfortunately, he falls right into this trap. Because... he's a sword. But more important, Shiraishi mentioned something he's passionate about.]

They aren't lost, Shiraishi-san. They're still there--in history. [He takes up his cards and neatly organizes them even if he doesn't have a good god damn clue what most mean.] Protecting history isn't so difficult, not even with swords.

Changing history means changing the path the world will take. It could be dangerous. History shouldn't be changed, even if it's painful.

[After a moment, he sets out his cards, still not having betted much on himself despite the win. Sadly, all he has is three of a kind.]

[Shiraishi isn't even discussing him, but Hizamaru feels offended anyway. He frowns a bit.] It isn't possible to protect history from the present. You have to travel to the past. [He is a FOOL. It's fine.] Our master's orders all have good intentions to protect the sanctity of history.

[Oh. He peers at the cards.]

See, I told you that you would win, Shiraishi-san. Do we leave it at a tie or play a third time?

Master isn't a villain...

[Don't push it, Shiriashi. Hiza is trying his best not to get grouchy.]

What would you like to do Shiraishi-san? I'm okay with either.
