Engage with my brother this week as though you are protecting him - I have him covered by another, but learned of the rule that if the person becomes aware they are protected, it will not work.

I haven't told him of that rule... but I would like to mislead him to the best of my ability. I have already lied to him, and cannot imagine he would doubt me, but I would like to have a second story to fall back on if I must.

I have no problem with it. But I wonder what he'll think when he learns of your lies. You deem it worth it anyway?

... it is selfish, to take advantage of the fact that he loves me so much that he will forgive me. Similarly, it is selfish to work so hard in order to make sure that he will not meet his end before I do.

But I love him - and will endure anything so that he will be able to keep going.
