There's three other protective roles aside from yourself. One that can protect someone from demons on Thursday, Escha's was to save someone from exorcism, and another where I did not get the details.

So, theoretically if she were still alive and we picked someone incorrectly she might be able to help them. But I suppose the accuracy of that depends on who is picked and when.
