We know there's more than one force in play here. After all, it's unlikely the demons are the ones who brought us here and set up methods on how to deal with them.

Groups of opposing entities all with different goals? Or those spirits that keep babbling in the ear of that little guide of ours?

Whoever brought us here has hedged their bets a few times now, if all this is the truth. Three times, was it?

The spirits are involved somehow, but we can't forget that when they were alive, someone else was pulling their strings.

And they'll continue to pull strings until one of the groups gets it right. We're just speculating until we find proof of their existence or involvement though.

Looks that way. We're getting info at their pace.

Which means we'll always be a step behind unless we play them at their own game.

Though it doesn't seem as though we have the pieces for that yet.

With three people dead and two potentially possessed and wearing a friendly skin, I would say thing aren't optimal right now.

They can still definitely get worse.

So much for positive thinking, hm?

I believe we can get through this.

But I don't think we should expect this week to be the biggest struggle, by any means.

Oh, more people will die. That's a given. Especially with no way to track that demon running around out there.

And the demon can get crueler still.

I wonder if it holds grudges.

It seems capable of that level of thinking. In which case, everyone who pressed it is at an increased risk.

It definitely seemed petty enough. How much of that was wholly the demon, or exacerbating that girl's worst traits I couldn't say, but I'd assume a combination of both.

Probably both. Possessions probably go smoother if it can mesh with the host's original self.

Not about the Veil, strictly, but possessions are something I have experience with, yes.

Sounds like one is a consequence of the other. We have no Veil where I'm from, and as such we have no possessions.

Everything criminal that happens is a product of human depravity and warped justice, I suppose.

To be honest, Daemons possessing people and compelling them to kill is a very rare case, even for us. I've only dealt with one in my lifetime.

Most murders are purely human.

That's one more case of demon murder than I've experienced. Although I suppoe that's three to my two now, overall.

"Humans are the real monsters"? Or words to that effect.

Humans do tend to be their own worst enemy. Anything external just helps push them along.
